I also didn't get real "JAMS" no I had to have homemade knock-off JAMS (only those over 30 will understand what the hell I am talking about)...thankfully she drew the line at Homemade parachute pants

Homemade JAMS? Egads.
My mom wouldn't let me have any either. It's a miracle I survived high school without getting my ass kicked on a daily basis, thank God those were the years when everyone wore thrift store clothes or I would've been hurting. If we'd had Abercrombie or Hollister, my mother would've croaked.
OMG JAMS! I had some hot pink ones, very lovely. Thankfully Mom never attempted to make thoughs, I do have photographic proof of years of bad ponchos hand crocheted by my great-grandmothers.
MY MOM MADE ALL OF OUR JAMS. ALL OF THEM. OMG, hilarious!
Shut up!!! My mom used to make me knock-offs too! From Barbie clothes to my clothes. Ugh!
My mom made so many clothes for me including one of my prom dresses!
However, JAMS she did not make. Nope, no sir-eee. We went to Wal-Mart for those. Only the best for me!
